Panchatantra

The Panchatantra tlaes have reguled children and adults alike with a moral at the end od ever story. Some relieve that they are as old as the Rigveda. There is also another story about these fables. Accordin to it, these are stories Shiva told his consorte parvati. The present series is base on the Sanskrit original.

The Lion and the Rabitt

This story is about a lion and a hare that has an important
moral that, nothing is impossible for the wise. A lion goes around killing hapless creatures in a forest. The creatures get tired of living in

fear all the time and gather courage to go to the lion with a solution. They tell him that daily one creature would be sen

t to him as food. The lion is pleased and agrees. The animal

s now decide that the creature whose numbers are the maximum shall be sent one by one. The hare turns out to be the biggest in number and is sent to the lion. Reluctant to go to the lion, he wanders in the forest and finds an ancient well. When the lion becomes impatient after waiting for a long time, he goes out in search of food. The hare tells him that he was going to come to him, but was topped by another lion who claimed to be the king of jungle. The lion gets infuriated when he hears this and demands to meet the other lion. The hare takes him to the well and tells the lion to look ins

ide. The lion sees his own reflection and in anger, jumps inside the well to kill the other lion and dies.

Analects

Analects

are similar to proverbs and parables, which also make abstract philosophies more concrete. How

ever, proverbs are pieces of advice designed to impart wisdom, and parables are metaphors that explain abstract ideas by analogy, whereas analects are instructions that can be followed without further interpretation.

Confucianism

Confucianism is a set of ethical beliefs, sometimes called a religion, that were developed from the teachings of the scholar Confucius, who lived in the 6th century BCE in China. His theories and philosophy gave rise to laws based on his teachings first in China, and then later in Japan, Korea and Vietnam. All who studied and practiced Confucianism aimed at harmonious relationships that would result in greater peace in their countries. Elements of Confucianism, though it is no longer widely practiced, persist in many Asian cultures.

Refections

He asked about Goodness. The Master said, "Restraining yourself and returning to the rites constitutes Goodness. If for one day you managed to restrain yourself and return to the rites, in this way you could lead the entire world back to Goodness. The key to achieving Goodness lies within yourself--how could it come from others?"

Yan Yuan asked about ren. The master said: "conforming oneself to and thus returning to ritual creates ren. If for one day one could conform oneself to and thereby return to ritual, the whole world would then return to ren. One creates ren oneself--can others possibly do it?"

Audio Adrenaline : We're a Band

Freak!
Is what th world calls me
They don'
t understand
So they try to stop me
Hide!
I can't hide
So I stand up straight with christ by my side
No no no no need to be tounge tied
So I say it loud and I say it with pride
Died
He died
Christ gave it all but he's coming back to life
Now I've got a reason to saying the things I say
And you know I've got a reason to be doing the things I do
Because soon very soon
God's coming back and I want to be playing his tune
So, here we go

Chorus
We're a band
We're a band
With guitars in our hands
We're crossing the land
We're a band
We're a band
For the son of man
We will take a stand
You can make a plan
He'll be back again
We're a band
We're a band
We're a band
We're a band

Hey!
Please remove your hand from my mouth
It's been long enough so please do it now
Uuh uuh uuh uuh uuh uuh uuh
You know you can't censor me
When wall flowers start to bloom
Four more voices fill the room
Say, you better get out of the way

Repeat chorus
